Mr. Zahn provided some useful info on ice fishing in prep for the Minsi campout. Ice was reported to be 12” thick on the lake, so forecast is good for fishing and skating. If you’re going to work on the skating merit badge and have skates, please bring them. Working out details for rentals and site for snow tubing..
Bring snow pants, changes of
clothes and gloves, milk crate to sit on while fishing, maybe a sled for gear.
BRING FIREWOOD. There are cots in the tents. Meet at the church at 6 pm.

Shoppers, be at Clinton Shop Rite 6:30 pm Thursday.
New scouts got their troop 288 patches. Den chiefs who have dens received their patches.
Nick Vitovitch Eagle Scout project kicks off at Round Valley Youth Center this weekend. Any help for whatever time you can spare would be greatly appreciated. Earn Service Hours and help your former SPL.

Glen Gray forms were given out for weekend of 3/6-8 and are posted on the web site. First 30 registered sleep inside. Due next week (2/24)
March 1st is Troop Spaghetti Dinner. Flyer’s posted on the website. Print out a few and give to your friends, neighbors, local businesses to post. This is a major fundraiser for the troop and participation by all scouts and their families is expected. Scouts should sign up for setup/first shift or second shift/cleanup. All scouts at the meeting this week or last were given their salad bar assignments (please bring your items back next week 2/24). All families should bring a dessert on Sunday afternoon (3/1) between 1 and 3. Ask Mr. Dorf if you have questions.

Luke and Ryan are still collecting for Merit Badge books through March 1st. See last week’s note if you need more info.
Swim test mandatory for canoe trip if you didn’t already take it for this year. 2:00 Sunday afternoon 3/15 at Deer Path Y, $10 for non-members. Please let Mr. Jaszyn know if you plan to attend so he has an idea of how many to expect.
