April 21
This week the older boys helped the younger new scouts work on their knot-tying and lashing requirements. It was really nice to see the older boys helping the younger ones.
The subject of new medical forms came up. The forms must be turned in before the Vermont trip or Trexler. Murphy said to get them in way before Trexler so there are no problems.
For Earth Day this Saturday the boys MUST wear a hat since they will be working with food - it is the law. Also ensure their name is in their hat. Wear Class B's. Shorts are fine since it is supposed to be very warm.
The Snuffy Hollow forms are due next week.
It was mentioned that all current forms are posted on the website and that the boys should look at the site on a regular basis to familiarize themselves with it. If you need anything posted on the web, please contact donald.bean@comcast.net
Family campout forms were passed out last night. If your son didn't bring it home - its on the website.
Boys should start to meeting with Suzy over the next few weeks to discuss which merit badges they want to work on at Trexler. If you are going as a parent voluteer, you need to see Suzy for some information.
On May 5 at 7:30 there will be a new parent/summer camp meeting (upstairs in the church while the boys meet downstairs)
Chris finished up by passing out a bunch of merit badges and stressing the importance of keeping the blue card that comes with each badge in a safe place. The boys will need them to prove they completed the badges for Eagle Scout eligibility.
That's about it - have a good week :)
